Services and Information

The Solutions

Our services allow you to expand the Internet into your home or office. Some common business applications for dedicated Internet connections include employee access to Internet resources, electronic mail delivery and creating a virtual network with other offices on the Internet.

More and more companies are starting to require their satellite companies to have high-speed access, to network with the regional or corporate headquarters. As more and more networks are created, fast efficient access to the Internet is a must.

56K Dial Up Access

Dial-up access is really just like a phone connection, except that the parties at the two ends are computer devices rather than people. Once connected the devices can transfer data freely, however speeds are limited to capabilities of the slower computer. Because dial-up access uses normal telephone lines, the quality of the connection is not always good and data rates can be limited.

If you want faster throughput for such bandwidth-intensive applications as videoconferencing or accessing remote data networks, you'll want to get ISDN service, which costs more than a 56K connection but can be up to five times faster.

ISDN Service

Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a different kind of telephone service altogether. This service uses the same copper telephone wires as regular phone service, but the switch at the telephone company office-- and the equipment on your end of the line-- are completely different. These digital lines typically have two channels that can send and receive at 64 kilobytes per second (Kbps), for a maximum total throughput of 128 Kbps-- or five times faster than a 56K modem.

ASDL Service

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is a modem technology that transforms ordinary phone lines (also known as "twisted copper pairs") into high-speed digital lines for ultra-fast Internet access. ADSL also enables access to corporate networks for telecommuters, as well as exciting new interactive multimedia applications such as multiplayer gaming, video on demand and video catalogs.

EtherLoop DSL Service

EtherLoop is a burst-mode technology which is not compromised by line irregularities, interference, or changing traffic conditions. EtherLoop is a spectrally compatible technology that avoids interference in the outside loop with services including POTS, ISDN, T-1, and ADSL. This inherent capability enables EtherLoop DSL Solutions to be easily and cost-effectively implemented by service and network providers.
