Li’l Shinies

Four small sets marketed in the US were given the special designation of "Li'l Shinies" and featured iridescent paint.

The packaging for the UK variations just had the Bluebird logo, not Mattel. They also did not include the name "Li'l Shinies" like the Mattel ones did (which makes sense since most were not shiny!)

I'm assuming that they pre-dated the Li'l Shinies sets. The paint on all of them is matte except for the seashell container. It has the only iridescent paint of the four. The colors are very close to the US sets for the genie and the seashell. The colors on Queen Mimi are quite different, and then there is Rocky, who looks suspiciously like a miniature Elvis!
