Notice of Planned Outage for Internet Upgrade

LocalTel will be performing a major Planned Internet Upgrade which will affect ALL LocalTel Internet Customers in ALL Counties (Chelan, Douglas, Grant & Okanogan). This upgrade requires a complete Internet System Outage. This “next generation” major upgrade is to prepare for future Internet speed increases and even greater reliability. After the upgrade completion, it may require a router re-boot. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

When:
Tuesday Morning April 5
Time:
  • Begin at 2:00am
  • Complete by 6:00am
Outage Time:
1 to 4 hours
Expectations:
The upgrade outage should last less than 1 hour. However, should unforeseen complications arise, it may take longer.
Tech Support:
Technical Staff will be available to assist you at 509-888-5700 during and immediately following the upgrade outage.

Line Extension Policy

New Chelan County PUD Fiber Line Extension Policy

On March 28 the Chelan County PUD Commission adopted a new Fiber Line Extension Policy (FLEP). This policy limits a new fiber install to $1,500 in total PUD Costs. Any costs above $1,500 would be the customer’s responsibility to pay.
